It has been seen on the Spring runways, it graced articles of fashion magazines and is on all the hottest celbs; its the "Hi - Low" trend also known as the "Mullet Hem" the "Mullet" is when the article of clothing, normally a skirt,dress or blouse, is longer in the back then in the front. It can be worn casually, or you can dress it up, it is a popular fashion in prom dresses. Take a look below of how to wear it either way, and some cute hi- low items and where to get them !

Miley Cyrus does it dressy in a Jenny Packham gown with Louboutin's. This dress is gorgeous and a perfect length in the front !

Kristen Cavallari, does the mullet hem with a skirt, pairing it with strappy wedged heels a tank, and a blazer. This look can we worn day and night.

Skits in the mullet hem, can be worn dressy, with a nice blouse and strap back heels, or with flats. Either way, the high low style is perfect for showing off your shoes!

Pattern Mixing is a hard trend to pull off, with the wrong combinations and not the right neutralizer you can look like you got dressed in the dark, however, below I will show you perfect combinations of pattern mixing and tips to keep it looking clean and fashion forward !

The first way is tops and bottoms. This is the trickiest to pull off ! They key is to keep the colors some what neutral and not too far off in matching. Keep the shoe matching the boldest color in your look or a nude shoe!

Look 1 :
- Striped Black and White tank top by Madewell $90

For this look I'd pair with a black shoe with a chunky heel, and keep jewelry gold.

Look 2:

I would pair with a green flat or a black heel, depending on your style. Keep the jewelry simple and use the pink as an subtle accent.

As I watched all the 2012 fashion shows this year I noticed a lot of trends that I haven't seen before, however this year there was a trend I was familiar with, and not just from wearing it myself, but from the 80's...Color blocking. Color blocking is a technique a lot of designers used this year on the runways, and it is a very wearable fashion for spring. Color blocking has been seen on stars like Nicki Minaji, Kim Kardashian,Leona Lewis, and Katy Perry. Its a style that uses bold colors in a mixed matched way to put together a perfect bright summer look.

Now that February is coming to an end, we are hoping March brings warm weather so we can pack away our leggings and over sized sweaters and get out our open toed shoes and over sized sunglasses. With the transformation into spring, we transform to a new trend; Stripes. While Spring always brings out the bright color and florals, this years trend is seen everywhere,from;fashion week, in magazines and on your favorite starlet.
